About Jenni
I’m Jenni Rowe-Macleod, a brand strategist and fractional Head of Brand helping growing businesses turn their brand into a clear, usable source of truth.
I work with founders who are scaling and need brand clarity that actually works in the real world. The kind that makes decision-making easier, keeps teams aligned, and means not everything has to come back to you for approval.
My background (and why it matters)
Before working independently, I spent over 10 years in fast-paced startups, building and developing brands from the inside. I worked my way from marketing intern to Head of Brand, sitting on senior leadership teams and helping businesses grow through change, expansion and complexity.
I’ve hired teams, worked with agencies, led rebrands and made brand decisions under real commercial pressure.
It was during a major rebrand that I properly met brand strategy. I quickly realised it had a reputation for being far more complicated than it needed to be. Endless frameworks, jargon and decks that looked impressive but weren’t always useful — especially for growing businesses that needed clarity quickly and affordably.
That experience shaped everything that came next.
My approach to brand strategy
I believe brand strategy should be simple, practical and genuinely useful.
My approach strips everything back to the fundamentals — purpose, positioning and personality — and translates them into clear guidance that businesses can actually use day to day.
No unnecessary frameworks.
No fluff.
No decks that gather dust.
Just brand clarity that helps teams move faster, market more consistently and grow with confidence.
What sets my work apart is that I don’t just think strategically — I implement practically. I sit comfortably between strategy and execution, making sure the thinking actually shows up in the work.
Who I work with
I typically work with:
Growing businesses who’ve outgrown their early brand foundations
Founders who want clarity without complexity
Teams who need a single source of truth as they scale
Whether that’s through brand strategy projects, fractional Head of Brand support, or content creation, the goal is always the same: clarity that frees up time and drives better decisions.
A bit more about me
Outside of work, I’m a keen crafter and painter, usually happiest with a needle or paintbrush in hand. I’m also the proud owner of a maltipoo called Pingu (named after the penguin, obviously).
I’m a slow riser, firmly in the camp of coffee and a good book over a 5am gym session — and I’m very much ok with that.
Let’s work together
If you’re looking for a brand partner who brings clarity and calm and who understands both strategy and execution. I’d love to work with you.
